school resource officer / Juvenile Investigations
The unit consists of a full-time School Resource Officer and a full-time Juvenile Officer. The School Resource Officer manages all criminal investigations related to individuals under the age of 18 within Ocean Gate Elementary School or on its premises, prioritizing safety and security within the school. This officer is specifically designated for Ocean Gate Elementary School through a collaborative agreement with the Board of Education, with a primary focus on rehabilitation.
